Adungu Tale’ Musical Premiered in Uganda, Highlighting African Cultural Heritage
The UK musical stage play “Adungu Tale” made its Ugandan debut on May 1, 2024, at the National Theatre. Produced by Bantu Arts UK and led by Ugandan cultural performer Steven Kasamba, the play told the story of a mixed-race child discovering their African heritage through the traditional Adungu instrument. The production celebrated African culture with traditional dance, music, and storytelling, featuring artists from both Uganda and the UK.
